Thomas Eppler is a professor of Data Science and Databases at Albstadt-Sigmaringen University in Germany. He serves as the dean of the master's program in Data Science, offered in collaboration with the University of Mannheim. Additionally, he is a lecturer at the Swiss Distance University of Applied Sciences (FFHS) and other several universities for distance learning in Germany, where he teaches courses on Big Data Python Programming and Natural Language Processing. In addition, Thomas Eppler is a member of the German Informatics Society, particularly in the Data Science working group. Thomas Eppler is keynote speaker and committee member of the 3rd World conference of Data Science and Statistics. Thomas Eppler has participated in multiple European retail‐sector projects with distinguished retailers, specializing in data engineering, monitoring, message queuing, and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), and has also been involved in publicly funded initiatives in data science, data literacy, and data analytics.
