Loan Kim Robinson is a Data Engineer and Data Scientist at Astellas, in addition to serving as an Associate Professor of Master’s Applied Analytics at Columbia University in New York. Her professional interests include interactive statistical graphics, statistical computing, and modeling. With over 12 years of experience in statistical analysis and data presentation, Ms Robinson has extensive hands-on expertise in working with patient data, as well as biotechnology and pharmaceutical drug data. She excels in delivering best-in-class visualization and reporting solutions while effectively communicating complex statistical methods to non-experts, resulting in enhanced understanding, cost savings, and operational efficiency. Ms. Robinson has also demonstrated success in collaborating with leaders at all levels to leverage statistical testing, business intelligence, and data-driven analytics. A skilled user of R and Python, Ms. Robinson has developed numerous R Shiny applications throughout her career. She is currently working on her second book, Unblocking Business Analytics Strategy with R/R Shiny, set to be released in the summer of 2025.
